Message from Pastor Shane

Please, take a couple minutes to watch this video. It has important information about CLC’s response to the COVID-19 situation in our area. If you have any questions, please contact us using the link below.

IMPORTANT TAKE-AWAYS

Are we having services this weekend?

No. We will only have an online service tomorrow. Please, stay home and engage with our church community through our online platforms.

Please check back regularly for more information.

How to stay connected?

We will begin live streaming our services to ensure that you can remain connected to CLC if you are unable to attend a service.
We will also soon be gathering online during the week for a time in the Word, sharing, and prayer. We will post a link on the web, social media and send it via email to our online portal so that we can gather and encourage one another as we walk through this season. These services offer an interactive platform where we can share life, needs and the hope of Christ with one another.

READ PASTOR SHANE’S UPDATE

We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we wanted to bring you up to speed with our plan as a community. We understand that the unknown can tend to stir up a good deal of anxiety, yet we must remember where our confidence lies as a people of faith. Christ is our confidence and help and I believe that though there will certainly be challenges, this experience also holds the promise of drawing us together as a community in some beautiful ways. With that in mind, we want you to know that during this season we intend to help bring clarity, focus, and hope as we navigate this together. This Sunday, March 15th we will only have an online service. The service at the church will be closed to the public. We will continue to monitor recommendations from State and Local Government Agencies to continue to access and adjust our plans as necessary. Please check back regularly as these plans are subject to change.

There is obviously a heightened awareness and public safety concern regarding the COVID-19 virus as well as the seasonal flu. That said, we are asking that everyone chip in to help keep our community safe by avoiding handshakes or hugs, instead finding other creative ways to express your joy of sharing life together (Waves, Smiles, Frowns and Grumbles or however else you may express joy).  Furthermore, as you know, our church is very intentional about providing clean, sanitary, and safe environments for people to connect with God in worship and to gather with the community of faith. During this season we are going to add to our vigilance by making sure all common and vulnerable spaces are sanitized in ways that ensure the safest environment that we can for you and your children. While we realize that public spaces pose certain risks even in the best of circumstances, our intent is to minimize potential exposure through these shared efforts.

That said, if you are sick or uncomfortable with a public worship setting during this season, then please stay home. Also, if you need prayer, please email us at prayer@clc.city or call us at 919-616-1122

Further Ways to Connect
Starting this week we will begin live streaming our services to ensure that you can remain connected to CLC if you are unable to attend a service.
Finally, we have been preparing for this for some time and have a great plan in place to serve your needs. Historically, the Church has been a bastion of peace and strength for the world when it had lost its footing. Here and now we have a great opportunity to share God’s love and salvation to the world through our faith and what we put into practice during this season.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Blessings,
Pastor Shane
