Shane Comellas is the lead pastor of Covenant Life. He has a unique passion for motivating people towards lasting change and strives to inspire them with his unique brand of leadership. He ministers with a candid, fiery style that God has used to bring thousands to Christ across this nation and around the world. Pastor Shane served in the US Army, has a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Southeastern University and a Masters in Divinity and his Doctorate of Ministry from Duke Divinity School. Shane and his wife Jaimee have four daughters: Jaelyn, Avery, Olivia, and Adeline.
Jaimee Comellas is the Children’s Director of Covenant Life Church. Growing up on the mission field of the Dominican Republic, Jaimee has spent her life immersed in ministry and outreach. A mother of four and a pastor’s wife, Jaimee has a passion for seeing children come to experience the love of God in a personal way in a safe, fun, and exciting environment.
Aaron & Hannah Palenske
Aaron & Hannah Palenske serve as the Youth Pastors at Covenant Life Church. They are passionate to see students pursue deeper relationships with Jesus, and are eager to help them discover their gifts and talents and utilize them to serve the Lord. Aaron studied Youth Ministry at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications.
Baranda Harris is a Raleigh, NC native and a graduate of St. Augustine’s College with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting. Baranda retired in 2017 with 30 years as an Audit Manager and is the mother of one daughter, Jennifer. She came to Covenant Life by following her husband to his place of worship and is serving the church and community as our Reach/Benevolence Director.
Steven Hoyle is the worship pastor at Covenant Life Church. Steven has been in ministry for twenty two years. He is passionate about leading people into the presence of God. He has experience as a live and studio musician. If you are interested in joining the worship team, contact him.
Prison Ministry Director
Earl serves as our Transitional House Director and Outreach Coordinator. He is a Raleigh native and is the father of two adult children, Shemicka and Chris, whom he loves dearly. In his search for a home church, Earl was introduced to Pastor Shane and a relationship was formed. Earl serves as House Director for the House of Joseph. He has ministered to prisoners throughout Raleigh for the past 15 years working to spread the name of Jesus and win souls for the kingdom of God.
Serving as CLC’s Director of Food Services, JoAnn understands the deep connection of hospitality communicating love to people. Her belief is that where there is food there is life and where there is life, there should always be love. Whether it’s managing CLC’s food pantry to serve people experiencing food insecurities or attending to the many details of events within CLC’s community, JoAnn’s passion is to see people experience the transforming love of Christ through the gift of hospitality.
